The city is in the 130 km north of Antalya, a worldwide known tourism centre. Isparta is located in the Lake District which is rich in natural beauties. Süleyman Demirel University has nearly 40,000 students and 1,900 academic staff. The university offers associate, undergraduate, master’s and doctorate programs. One academic year consists of two semesters. Fall semester begins at mid-September and lasts until the end of January including final exams. Spring semester lasts from mid-February to the end of June, including final examinations. The main campus land combines faculties, laboratories, computer centers, library, medial center and auditorium. Within the University, student life is rich and varied with activities to cater for almost all talents and interests. Student activities are organized by various Student Clubs. There are various sports and recreation activities for students such as football, basketball, beach volley, table tennis, handball, wrestling, badminton and tracking. Sports centers on the main campus are free of charge for students. SDU has been playing an active role in Erasmus Program from 2004 onwards in collaboration with almost all countries within the framework of Erasmus. We have hosted more than 50 students..
